From the ashes of the original Gathering Grounds music venue we bring you the Gathering Grounds Roadshow: one sweet genre themed show on the 2nd Saturday of every month somewhere in or very near Dayton, OH. Our goal is for this to truly be a “Roadshow” taking the essence of the awesome shows that Gathering Grounds once hosted, and spreading that love around the city. Trust us….it’s going to be amazing… We’ve recently been approved for June-October 2011 to hold our Second Saturday shows at the Dayton Courthouse Square. A tremendous, centrally located, outdoor public venue. We’ll keep you posted on “winter” venues…we are open to ideas!
Q: What is “genre-themed”?
A: This means that if you’re into one style of music, we’re going to try our best to build shows with bands and artists that compliment each others styles, genres, fanbases, etc. This is so everyone who comes to a show hopefully stays for as much of the show as they can.
True to the GG tradition, these events are alcohol-free and drug-free safe havens for the benefit of our communities. If parents want to know who’s in charge and what’s going on…we want them to feel free to contact us at any time. We’re not your babysitters, but we are community members that care about our future generations.
